  • Estimation of the risk factors in patients with epilepsy and drug-resistant epilepsy in children and adults.
  • Assessment of the clinical polymorphism of drug-resistant epilepsy, development of the diagnostic criteria and correlation of the most informative risk factors in the expression of the disease.
  • Establishment of the pre-surgical evaluation of patients with drug-resistant epilepsy with the determination of the seizure semiology and of the epileptogenic focus/-ci topography. Assessment of the strategies of correction and treatment.
  • Determination of the neuroimaging features and their correlation with the morphological and semiological expression of seizures.
  • The role of EEG telemetry and long-term monitoring in the diagnosis of seizure semiology.
  • Assessment of the relationships and interneuronal connections in the mechanisms of epileptogenic expression and of the correction strategies and differential treatment of the patients with epilepsy.
  • Implementation of the transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) method.
  • Determination of the risk factors in the Republic of Moldova with the appreciation of the specific weight of each risk factor separately.
